TVRTKO BURIC(1982)
Tvrtko Buric nasce il 6 Novembre 1982 a Bjelovar, Croazia. Il suo interesse per l’arte nasce fin da giovane, nello studio del pittore Mazuranic, a Zagabria. Sempre a Zagabria studia interior design presso la Scuola di Arti e Design. Dopo il liceo si trasferisce a Genova, dove inizia ad approfondire il disegno industriale e, nel 2010, consegue una specializzazione in design del prodotto. Successivamente si sposta a Chiavari, dove attualmente vive e lavora. Proprio i suoi studi gli danno la spinta verso un’ispirazione artistica che lo porta a prediligere, nei primi anni, il tema delle figure umane senza volto, critica e metafora del sistema sterile e vuoto del mondo del marketing e del capitalismo. Partendo da questi esordi, in cui si può già riconoscere la cifra stilistica del suo tratto, la produzione si fa sempre più complessa, e incorpora disegni, dipinti, sculture, installazioni su larga scala, site-specific o su commissione, tramite l’utilizzo di una gamma di materiali che richiedono sempre un certo grado di lavorazione manuale e abilità tecnica, come polistirolo, plexiglass, plastica e vetro. Tvrtko Buric vanta numerose installazioni pubbliche, in musei e all’aperto, in varie città d’Italia e d’Europa (Croazia, Spagna, Portogallo, Norvegia, Lituania, Francia, Paesi Bassi), campo d’azione in cui la sua poetica si esprime nella maniera più interattiva e coinvolgente. Le opere di Buric sono il risultato di un complesso sistema di pensiero che attinge a nozioni culturali e artistiche proprie di varie fonti, fra cui, in particolare, il Futurismo. Per meglio spiegare la forza e la potenza del concetto che sta alla base delle opere di questo artista, Ira Ferris ha attuato un azzeccatissimo parallelismo fra le installazioni di Buric e Forme Uniche Della Continuità Nello Spazio di Umberto Boccioni. I concetti di tensione, velocità, pressione, forza, attrito e spazio propri di questa scuola si ritrovano in Buric, reinterpretate in una chiave personale brillantemente contemporanea. Le sue opere, siano esse installazioni, quadri o semplici disegni, sono il perfetto punto di congiunzione tridimensionale fra la poesia dell’arte e la tecnicalità del progetto industriale, quasi dei “controambienti” che analizzano la condizione struggente, fragile dell’uomo nell’era moderna, espressione di un tempo incerto doppiamente interpretabile: da un lato il vuoto, l’assenza, l’incertezza, dall’altro l’energia, la passione per la vita e lo sforzo verso un futuro migliore. Tvrtko Buric was born on November 6th, 1982 in Bjelovar, Croatia. His interest in the arts starts at a very young age, in the studio of the painter Mazuranic, in Zagreb. Always in Zagreb he studied interior design at the School of Arts and Design. After high school he moved to Genoa, where he began to deepen the studies in industrial design and, in 2010, he achieved a specialization in product design. Later he moved to Chiavari, where he currently lives and works. His studies gave him the push towards an artistic inspiration that leads him to prefer, in the early years, the theme of human figures without a face, critic and metaphor of the sterile system of the world of marketing and capitalism. Starting from these early works, where the observer can already recognize the stylistic code of his trait, the production becomes more and more complex, and incorporates drawings, paintings, sculptures, large-scale installations, site-specific or commissioned, through the use of a range of materials that always require a certain degree of manual workmanship and technical skill, such as polystyrene, plexiglass, plastic and glass. Tvrtko Buric boasts numerous public installations, in museums and public spaces, in several cities of Italy and Europe (Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Lithuania, France, the Netherlands), field of action in which his poetics expresses itself in the most interactive and engaging way. Buric's works are the result of a complex mental system that draws on cultural and artistic notions of various sources, among which, in particular, Futurism. To better explain the strength and power of the concept that underlies the works of this artist, Ira Ferris has created an amazing parallelism between Buric's installations and Umberto Boccioni's Unique Forms Of Continuity In Space. The concepts of tension, speed, pressure, strength, friction and space, all proper of this school, can clearly be found in Buric’s art, reinterpreted in a brilliantly contemporary personal key. His works, be they installations, paintings or simple drawings, are the perfect three-dimensional conjunction point between the poetry of art and the technicality of the industrial project, almost "counter-spaces” that analyze the fragile condition of man in the modern era, expression of an uncertain time, doubly interpretable: on one hand the void, the absence, the uncertainty, on the other the energy, the passion for life and the effort towards a better future.
